In this project students research the history of their town or area under the categories of buildings, places, people or events, using primary sources such as interviews, letters, photos or diaries as well as books. Their stories are posted to the I*EARN.KIDSCAN conference for other schools to read.

PARTICIPATION
Any school students from ages 9 to 17in groups, individually, or by class.
TIMELINE
The project continues until July 2001
COMMUNICATION
Through I*EARN.KIDSCAN conference. If you do not have access to the conference articles will be sent to Skipton Primary School and E-mailed to the conference. Other schools articles will be E-mailed to you directly.
Schools have the option of also corresponding with a partner school suggested by the co-ordinator
CONCLUSION
Students and teachers are encouraged to ask other schools questions about their articles. Schools can request a partner school to communicate with if they desire.
PRODUCTS
Articles will be published on this Web site and a booklet of articles published and sent to each participating school.
RELATED PRODUCTS
Photos can be E-mailed and will be published in the Gallery of this site. Schools wishing to make their own home pages can have linked to this site if the URL is sent to Margaret Shearn or the conference.
