Gaining
independence is one the most important things for a
country. Independence is gained in adiplomatic way or as
a result of some wars. Romania gained it's independence
on the 9th of May 1877. Romania's independence was the
masterpiece of all the Romanian people from the free side
of Romania and also from the Romanian provinces occupied
by the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Ottoman Empire and
the Russians. The people prepared it with patience and
perseverance. Finally, they took their fate in their own
hands, their right to be free. A lot of innocent people
died, but their death was for a great cause. People had
to bear all the material and moral hardships of the war.
They understood that they had to do great sacrificies,
proving this way their patriotism. Romania's land has
been invaded during the centuries by the
Austrian-Hungarian Empire, Germany and Russia, but the
Romanians never gave up, they fought to defend their land
and rights. The Romanians are proud of their ancestors,
