Nearly every garden you will ever go into and explore, will be a simple vegetable patch and full of roses. But if you have thought about having a different garden, a Zen Garden might be just the trick to making your home look like a symbol of inner peace.
A Zen Garden is a Japanese garden, which includes moss, sand, rocks, and bamboo and revolves around a green atmosphere. Most Zen Gardens also have a hedge and medium sized, green trees. Zen Gardens have extensive use of rock or stones, along with plants that are native to rocky or alpine regions.
There have been many attempts to create the layout of a Zen Garden. Some of these are:
· Gravel which represents ocean and rocks represent islands
· Rocks which form part of the Japanese writing system for heart and mind
A recent suggestion was that the rocks should form the hidden image of a tree.
