Become a Parent Reading Helper
For the first time this year, parents and family members were provided with training to support students in their reading. Interested volunteers participated in a 90-minute short course in how to conduct effective reading conferences with students. These volunteers come into our school for one hour on one day per week and provide extra opportunity for students to read aloud and talk about what they are reading.
Other parent training sessions will be run in Term 3, 2021. Another new session, with a particular focus on Number support is being planned at the moment, so stay tuned!
If you are interested in contributing to the school's relentless pursuit of excellence for all students, please call the school and speak with Nick Keating (School Principal).
