Amelia Pollock
Grade 2/3 Classroom Teacher

Amelia has been a classroom teacher at Skipton Primary since 2016, working mainly in Grades 3 and 4.  Whilst studying to be a teacher, she worked as a lifeguard, a swimming teacher and for Cricket Victoria facilitating cricket clinics in schools - all skills that have suited her work here at Skipton well! On the weekends, Amelia is a fan of the gym, the beach, going out for breakfast, reading and the occasional afternoon nap.  She is also a keen baker, which makes her a favorite at morning tea time in the staff room.  Amelia says she loves working here at Skipton with students who love learning. Some highlights every year for her include the swimming program, reading whole-class novels (especially the funny ones) and coaching the school's cricket team to state titles!

Di Britton
Grade Prep/1 Classroom Teacher

Di has been a classroom teacher at Skipton Primary School for 20 years, having taught across all year levels during that time.  She currently enjoys working with students in the beginning of their schooling, building essential foundations for further learning.  Throughout her time at Skipton, Di has led initiatives in literacy, well-being and the swimming program.  Before Skipton, she taught at Lake Bolac and Ararat West and also worked in hospitality, tourism, sales and the distribution of confectionery - hence her sweet tooth.  Out of school, Di spends time with family, friends, writing, on walks, at the beach, watching the Hawks, cooking, reading, theatre, travelling and trying to reduce her handicap on the golf course.  She is incredibly passionate about teaching and the Skipton Primary school community.

Gayle Munson
MARC (Library) Teacher

Gayle has been the library teacher at Skipton Primary School for 12 years.  She operates the Mobile Area Recource Centre, a van that visits five local schools in the area every week to ensure a varied and continuous source of reading materials for students in rural areas.  Gayle is a jack of all trades, having taught Indonesian, Art, PE and Maths across her career.  She spent some time teaching in Melbourne, worked in a factory, worked as a typist and was a lollipop lady before coming to Skipton.  Gayle likes to spend time with family, knit, crochet and get into the garden when the weather is good.  She enjoys the opportunity to visit five different schools each week, although does whisper that her base school (Skipton) is her favourite!

Georgie Green
Art, Digital Technologies, Science & Sustainability Teacher

Georgie has worked at Skipton Primary School for eight years, mainly in Art, Science and Sustainability.  She identifies that the most enjoyable thing about teaching is seeing the children doing, making, achieving, growing and finding their place in the world.  Georgie worked in the university sector and with students who were highly disengaged, before coming to Skipton.  She spends time on the weekends with friends, keeping fit and healthy and looking after our environment.

Jessica Lewis

Jess started her teaching career last year, right here at Skipton Primary.  She took the reigns in a large Grade 2/3 classroom as her first full-time teaching role and now is with the Grade 4s. Jess spent the last four years gaining her teaching qualifications, working at the YMCA Out of School Hours Care Program, working as a babysitter and spending some time on her family's farm in Hawkesdale.  On the weekends she plays competitive netball, bakes regularly and takes time to go on day trips.  Jess is very fond of a good TV series, with McLeod's Daughters being the most recent favourite.  She has enjoyed teaching the Grade 2/3s here at Skipton and is looking forward to students returning on-site and being able to pass on some of her netball knowledge to the students.
