Di Britton
Grade Prep-2 Classroom Teacher
Di has been a classroom teacher at Skipton Primary School for 21 years, having taught across all year levels during that time. She currently enjoys working with students in the beginning of their schooling, building essential foundations for further learning. Throughout her time at Skipton, Di has led initiatives in literacy, well-being and the swimming program. Before Skipton, she taught at Lake Bolac and Ararat West and also worked in hospitality, tourism, sales and the distribution of confectionery - hence her sweet tooth. Out of school, Di spends time with family, friends, writing, on walks, at the beach, watching the Hawks, cooking, reading, theatre, travelling and trying to reduce her handicap on the golf course. She is incredibly passionate about teaching and the Skipton Primary school community.

Gayle Munson
MARC (Library) & Auslan Teacher
Gayle has been the library teacher at Skipton Primary School for 13 years. She operates the Mobile Area Recource Centre, a van that visits five local schools in the area every week to ensure a varied and continuous source of reading materials for students in rural areas. Gayle is a jack of all trades, having taught Indonesian, Art, PE and Maths across her career. She spent some time teaching in Melbourne, worked in a factory, worked as a typist and was a lollipop lady before coming to Skipton. Gayle likes to spend time with family, knit, crochet and get into the garden when the weather is good. She enjoys the opportunity to visit five different schools each week, although does whisper that her base school (Skipton) is her favourite!

Georgie Green
Art, Digital Technologies, Science & Sustainability Teacher
Georgie has worked at Skipton Primary School for nine years, mainly in Art, Science and Sustainability. She identifies that the most enjoyable thing about teaching is seeing the children doing, making, achieving, growing and finding their place in the world. Georgie worked in the university sector and with students who were highly disengaged, before coming to Skipton. She spends time on the weekends with friends, keeping fit and healthy and looking after our environment.

Karen Crosbie
Grade 5/6 Integration Aide
Karen has worked at Skipton Primary School in two stints, firstly from 2002-2004 and then from 2014 until now. In between, she worked as an integration aide in a number of secondary schools in Ballarat. Karen has held a number of roles in her years in education, including working with students with a physical disability, leading literacy and numeracy programs, assisting arts and hospitality programs and working with students whose language background is diverse. She also spent time working as a nurse in a number of states and settings. Karen enjoys being with family and friends, crafting, cooking, travelling, walking and drives. Karen enjoys seeing our students smiling, being happy and engaged and relishes the opportunity to part of students' learning journey.

Michelle Liston

She then went on to teach at Dana Street Primary School and worked in a leading teacher role at Derrinallum College before going on family leave. Michelle returned to teaching at Skipton in 2019 filling in as a Casual Relief Teacher and providing assessment support and Auslan. Outside of school Michelle is a busy mum to three children, with her two eldest children attending Skipton Primary School and the third to start next year. Michelle loves cooking, spending time with family and reading. Michelle thinks the best things about Skipton Primary School are they way the students support and encourage each other, the learning programs and all of the extra activities, such as sports days and camps the children get to participate in.

Natalie Clark
Office Manager
Natalie has been the office manager at Skipton Primary since August, 2017. Before this, she worked in offices in the health and hospitality industries. Natalie has two children who have both attended the school and still acts as the Parent Representative for the Grade 5/6 class. She enjoys being a part of the school community, regularly attending sporting and community activities to take photos for the newsletter and cheer on Skipton students. Natalie's weekends involve family and friend time, reading and regular walks. She is a community leader away from school, acting as the Central Highlands Netball League president.

Nick has teaching experience in a number of learning areas, however shows a particular interest for mathematics and physical education. He spends his weekends playing cricket, being a dad and visiting family and friends. Nick enjoys leading young people and adults to achieve their goals, whether it be in reading conferences or in cricket matches.

Cleaner
Bek has worked at Skipton Primary School as the cleaner for seven years. Before coming to Skipton, she was a lifeguard and a swimming teacher. Bek has three children and spends time on the weekends following their sporting endeavours. Otherwise, she is spending time with family and friends, running and swimming.

Sarah Meek
Grade P-2 Integration Aide
Sarah has worked at Skipton Primary for five years. She has been an integration aide across all year levels during that time and is currently supporting the 2/3 class. Sarah worked at Linton and Magpie Primary Schools before coming to Skipton and before that, worked in shearing sheds. She enjoys weekends fishing and spending time with the family. Sarah's favourite aspect of of working in education is forming relationships with students and supporting them to achieve their goals.

Kaye is a calm and caring teacher who is very beloved by the students in her care. When not at school, Kaye spends her weekends making beautiful classroom displays and caring for her two daughters. The students in her care enjoy her sense of humour, her organisation and her ongoing praise.

Sarah is an energetic teacher who finds it easy to transfer her passion for learning to the students in her care. When not at school, Sarah is teaching others dance in Geelong. Her classroom is always immaculate and her students are always on task.
